MOM's first project was in this remote village in Haiti. Under the
directorship of Pastor Louis Emmanuel Duperval, MOM was launched. We
started with family gardens. For $130, families were able to purchase
tools, seed, lease land if they didn't have any, to plant and grow food for
their families. The plan was to give a portion of the sale of the harvest
to the church to help pay the salaries of teachers.
The remote community is 5 hours by car from Port au Prince. It is a
long, ardous ride when the paved road ends, and one must travel across unpaved
roads, across rivers, etc. to reach it.
Children in mission primary school. Haiti does not have the tax base to provide primary schooling for its masses. A mere
$10.00 U.S. can pay the tuition for a child in one of our rural schools for an
entire year. Can you spare this amount to help educate a child?
Previously, we asked for $5.00 but the increase in the cost of materials and the
need to compensate teachers necessitated this increase.
Our mission schools. Haitian teachers are dedicated to teaching the children to the best of their ability. They have so little to work with...but they teach anyway! Their
pay?? Fifteen ($15 US) dollars a month!!

A small community. Housing is woefully inadequate!
Children posing for photo. We must help them out of illiteracy. They are not to blame for their plight. Can you care enough to help?

This is an oven used to bake bread. We are preparing a project to utilize the sun's energy and solar ovens.
This is a well from which water is drawn. Water is a severe problem. We are seeking funding for a renewable source of energy such as wind or solar for our garden projects in Haiti. If you know of any funding
sources for nonprofits, please contact us. Perhaps your organization or church would like to sponsor such a worthwhile project.
Our
first computer lab in the remote area was located here. Anse-au-veau has a
large primary school population. Note the uniforms of the children.
Our first community education on Clean Water was held in Anse-au-veau. This
village will continue to be one of our main hubs for our developmental projects.
though it does not have electricity, running water, etc. Our large
generator is located here and it provides street lighting a few hours each night
along the main road.
